Salary: Apprenticeship Level 2, £6.40 per hour rising to £7.55 per hour in April 2025 – actual salary £11,980, rising to £14,133 in April 2025

About the role:
At Ark Tindal Primary Academy, we are seeking an exceptional Premises Apprentice to join our dedicated staff Team, playing an integral role in ensuring the Academy is a safe, inviting and positive learning environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
You will support the management and operations of premises-related functions at the Academy, including buildings and grounds maintenance, security, cleaning, health and safety, and management of contractors.
Apprentices are warmly welcomed to apply and we have a strong programme of support and training available to support you. Our ideal Apprentice will:
- Have an interest in learning about the full range of work undertaken by a Premises Team in a primary school setting and developing an understanding of how this positively impacts our pupils
- Already possess skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry/joinery, painting and glazing etc., or be willing to learn these skills on the job
- Have a basic knowledge of relevant regulations (health & safety, fire, manual handling regulations), and/or be willing to undertake training to learn these
- Be able to use a computer and undertake some administrative tasks
- Have an awareness of the importance of keeping children safe, and understanding how and when to take appropriate action, which will be developed through training
- Have a calm and professional manner, a flexible attitude towards work and be a team player, who can also use their own initiative
- Share our belief that every pupil should have access to an excellent education regardless of background, and understand how their role fits into the wider life of a school
