  • About The Role

  • Ark Elvin Academy is seeking a dynamic and committed Head of Year to lead and manage a designated year group, driving high standards in achievement, behaviour, and pastoral care. Working closely with senior and middle leaders, you will lead a team of form tutors and play a key role in ensuring all pupils maximise their learning time through consistent routines and high expectations.

    You will monitor and track student progress, analyse behaviour and safety data, and implement targeted interventions to support improvement. The role involves close collaboration with teachers and leaders to deliver a holistic approach to student support, alongside building strong relationships with parents and carers.

    Key aspects of the role include leading and developing form tutors, contributing to attainment and progress reviews, managing attendance and behaviour processes, organising parents’ evenings, delivering assemblies, and supporting staff through coaching and training. You will also manage exclusions and reintegration processes, work with the SENCo and external agencies to support pupils, and lead initiatives to improve personal development, behaviour, and welfare across the school.
